Hockey Wrap Around Weighted Blade Protector Insight
Hi Brandon or Chase, can I use the True Replacement Goalie Skate Tongues on my custom SVH player skates? I really like the style and protection that it offers but I dont know its compatibility. Thanks!
I’m a mechanic and a guitarist I have suffered with golfers, elbow and tennis elbow for a long time now. I just received my Powerball and just in one week of using it. I have a eliminated tennis elbow and golfers elbow. So simple and effective at the same time! Best $14 I’ve ever spent!
The toe cap definately comes from a chevy corvette haha
IMO. They're not very good elbow pads. I feel pain pressure just to put them on around the arms because the plastic guards do not curve with the shape of the arms. CCM arm guards are more comfortable.
Interesting to know this will be the last time we get the interchangeable tongues
How do these skates compare to the ccm control skates?
Tour Inhaler Volt Kv1
It took them quite some time to copy mission vent
-What is the difference to the XF Pro?
😄 I was waiting for this. I have the one with the red accent on the heel flap🤙🏾
Can I get a stiffer boot where the holder connects? Iv'e gone through 4 pairs of CCM's in a single year. I buy CCM because Bauer's tuuk lightspeed edge holders bend/break in a week and a half of use, While the xs holders last longer than CCM's boots do.
175 is waaay too hot ngl
the macdaddy is my favorite. still have mine. broken
I think the mission inhalers is where they got the look from on the front
I've been skating for almost 20 years never used roller hockey skate is it harder to skate with hockey skates ? Less ankle support? Looking at buying this pair on your website so I can play outdoor hockey with friends
I would say ice hockey skating is def harder than roller hockey, but they each have their own unique challenges. I was in the same boat as you, and stopping was my main issue when transferring to roller hockey. These skates are for beginners and won't have the ankle support you need since you've been skating 20 years. I would recommend going with something like the Mission Inhaler WM02 or Bauer Vapor 3X to get started. Brandon at IW Hockey
Is CT200 or CT250 the best one?
The CT250! Brandon at IW Hockey
Thanks
just got these skates they are so comfy
Right!? I'm super impressed with the comfort they have this year and their performance is even better! Brandon at IW Hockey
Great video, always love them. I scanned as a 6.5, Fit 3 last week. I have worn a 6.5, Fit 3 Mach and a 7, Fit 2 Vapor 3x Pro off and on for a few beer league seasons. They both felt comfortable, but the Mach really hugged my foot with all the padding, but ultimately the heel lock wasn’t quite there as the Machs broke in. Question is, would a 6.5 Wide FT680 be on par with a Bauer Fit 3? I really want to try the JetSpeeds.
That's correct, Fit 3 in Bauer is equivalent to CCM's Wide! I love the JetSpeeds, they are my go-to skates at the moment. Brandon at IW Hockey
Q is such a beauty
Aren't these source for sports exclusive? I got mine at a source for sports store.
Guess not so "exclusive" if idub has em
As a smaller male, I’m kinda interested in this stick with the extended length on the flexes at the intermediate range. I kinda wanna try a 65 flex at 60’.
I'd say go for it! As a smaller guy myself I got to try it and it was fantastic! I know of a lot of guys even using the FTW elbow pads because they are much more low profile than regular elbow pads. Brandon at IW Hockey
I experienced issues at the middle of my foot with the Tacks AS570 I had to put a cushion on the side of my left foot. Was this a case of wrong width? My width was a Regular
Were you experiencing a pressure point there? If so, that does sound like it could have been a width issue. Has the cushion helped at all? Brandon at IW Hockey
@ice.warehouse Yes. Unfortunately, I was experiencing a pressure point even after punching and stretching. The cushion helped just a little but kept slipping off Does this mean i need to change to a pair of wide skates?
I would at the very least try on a pair in the wide version to see if that offers a better fit. Another option would be to try on your skates with a thin hockey skate sock, as the less material might be enough to alleviate the pressure? Check out this sock -> www.icewarehouse.com/Drymax_Hyper_Thin/descpage-DHTSR.html Brandon at IW Hockey
Your demo skate has the wrong tongue, might want to get the actual retail skate for your customers to see.
Unfortunately, they changed it at the last minute and we didn't have time to re-make the video before the launch date.. which is why we included that note! ruclips.net/video/7v5K-DJrqns/видео.html Chase at IW Hockey
Are all of the new Tacks expected to have the toe cap rivet area flat internally, or is this exclusive to the XF Pros? I reached out to CCM but haven't heard back. The rivet bulge right behind the toe cap has ruined Bauers for me unfortunately.
The whole line has been updated to fix that rivet issues! Chase at IW Hockey
@@ice.warehouse you're the best, thank you!
You betcha, always happy to help! Chase at IW Hockey
Why no tapered fit available again??
All three fits (Tapered, Regular, Wide) are available! Brandon at IW Hockey
Got these in early 2023, on the ice twice a week. Holding up absolutely well, and they're really light, too. Best pants ever.
That's fantastic and glad to hear! Brandon at IW Hockey
is the grip super tacky or grip but hands can still move smoothly
It has grip but the hands can still move smoothly! Brandon at IW Hockey
Where can I find 18 inch shin guards? Seems none of the major manufacturers make them. I'm 6'5" and wear them over the tongue
Unfortunately you're right that major manufacturers don't make 18" shin guards. You'll have to find an alternative avenue like Ebay, SidelineSwap or Pro Stock Hockey. Brandon at IW Hockey
I miss Tyson
Just upgraded from the Tacks 70 to the Tacks 210. Could notice the difference immediately. 100% worth the extra cost to upgrade!
Enjoy the new bucket! Brandon at IW Hockey
I love hockey ever since I put on my first hockey skates when I was a kid
Who is you're favorite NHL team!? Brandon at IW Hockey
I don't have a favorite NHL team but I do love the ECHL Alaska Aces which is the new Maine Mariners
Had to jump in here because I haven't heard that name in forever! Long time Bakersfield Condor fan from way back in the of the WCHL before the ECHL! The Aces jerseys were awesome! Chase at IW Hockey
Go Blades 🐊
As expected, you're the first to put something up about the XF Pro and the rest of the line! Totally love what you guys do for the hockey community! Loving my AS-Vs that I got on sale last week. Tacks are my all-time favourite line of skates. ❤
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel! The Tacks line is so dang good and I love how CCM is constantly stepping up their game to give us incredible gear. Brandon at IW Hockey
Actually hockey tutorial was
@@maxmccord7733 I know, but I meant after the official announcement. ☺️ with all the details, and the entire line.
When do the 110Ks come out? I'll accept the re-release of the 80Ks. These XF/XF Pro skates do look great.
CCM isn't running the Ribcor line anymore.
@@wllj0551 I know. I’m depressed about it. They killed the P30 curve too.
Rest in piece RibCor.. that was my personal favorite line too but at least CCM's bringing many of those awesome features both to Tacks and JetSpeed. Chase at IW Hockey
I put on the XF 80’s at a local shop and fell in love
That's what I like to hear, those and really the entire line are so dang comfy. Chase at IW Hockey
@@ice.warehouse I noticed after a few times on the ice that the skates are a bit tight on my Achilles. Would baking them help?
What is feeling tight on you achilles, the forward lean of the flex tendon guard or the new heel lock liner? Chase at IW Hockey
@@ice.warehouse I believe it’s the heel lock. Any pressure downwards on the foot causes pretty bad pain on the Achilles and calves, but my feet inside the boot feel perfect.
Just got a pair a few days ago from a local shop, they feel so comfortable on the feet so far.
Enjoy the new skates!! Brandon at IW Hockey
Bring back reebok
How cool would it be to see a throwback Reebok stick come out!? Brandon at IW Hockey
God i love freaking hockey 🏒
Preach it!! Brandon at IW Hockey
Big same.
Big same to your big same. Chase at IW Hockey
ASV-Pro are the best skates I've ever used. Incredible fit and power. These look like a natural iteration of those. I'm glad they aren't messing with Tacks too much as they're already the ideal power skate on the market.
Those AS-V Pro's are so dang good and these new XF Pro's are just insanely comfortable too. CCM is doing one fantastic job year after year. Brandon at IW Hockey
I got some Custom Plus ASV-Pro in December and this looks to be basically those with the Jetspeed tongue - which is what I ordered. That is not a bad thing. They are the best skates I've ever worn. Extremely comfortable and extremely stiff - which I love. Just on paper these seem like the perfect iteration of what they already did really well.
So it looks like they abandoned the replaceable tongue with this line too eh? Everyone gets the tongue that the skate ships with? They certainly look nice.
Yep, CCM decided to move away from the replaceable tongue system. The XF Pro Tongue is so dang comfortable you won't want to change it! Brandon at IW Hockey
Now i see why they did away w the Ribcor line. They look exactly like my 90Ks
Would you recommend the XF-90 or the True Hzrdus 7x?
I wouldn't apologize if I were u this is what they are all about....helping us.
I went from True TF7 to CCM ASV-Pro last year. the TF line was replaced by the HZRDUS line with last year's release. Now I know I stepped up quite a bit in price point, but even so I can't recommend the CCM skates enough. They feel so much more responsive in the CCM than the True skates. True skates always felt so forward leaning, whereas now I feel so much more agile and balanced in the CCM's. So much more of the blade is making ice contact too. Quality control on True stuff too has been concerning lately. That was the biggest reason I didn't get the SVF Custom or HZRDUS Pro. The CCM's were more expensive but I 100% feel I got what I paid for. I do not regret going to CCM in the slightest.
You are paying more for the XF-90's but you're getting so much value and performance in them, that would be my recommendation. Brandon at IW Hockey
What is the difference between this and the Pro model?
The XF Pro has lighter foams but giving better protection and comes with the AER-TEC Ventilation System that gives players better breathability and airflow. Brandon at IW Hockey
That black and grey color is so sharp
One of my favorite designs ever! Brandon at IW Hockey
How does the upper portion of the pant compare to the CCM Tacks? (Where the belly is/kidney area)
The fit I mean
It's pretty similar in terms of fit and coverage, the difference is going to be the closure system. Brandon at IW Hockey
how and where to find their CE report and certification to check more protector details datas?
Just got a used pair. These are light and amazing. I got a great deal. So happy
We're happy for ya! Congrats on the skates! Brandon at IW Hockey
Alpha lx2 strike or jetspeed ft5(on sale)? Trying to get into hockey and wondering which one will last longer
The LX2 Strike will be more durable since it uses more material but it's going to be much heavier. The FT5 is an elite-level design and a great choice if you can get it on sale! Brandon at IW Hockey
Hello, I have bought this one And I have a problem, I have to tighten the laces All the times.. I have put waxed laces, and cook the the skate (3 min at 80 degrees) But during the playtime I have to tighten the laces Du you thing the skate is still too stiff? What would you recommended? Thanks.
It wouldn't be that the skate is too stiff but it sounds like you aren't tightening the laces enough before you play. I would try swapping out your laces with some new waxed ones and get a really tight lace up before you skate. Brandon at IW Hockey
@@ice.warehouse OK thanks a lot for your answer.
quick question, I got my skates baked around a month ago. they’re brand new, but whenever I skate the inside of my feet get terrible blisters and nothings helping. do you think I could be able to rebake them and maybe widen the area around the inside of the foot a bit for extra space between my foot and the inside of the skate?
Sounds like you actually have some movement within the skate. Your feet need to be locked in and if there is any movement, that will cause blistering. I would recommend getting a skate sock like our DryMax, which wicks moisture from your skin into the sock. Then check out our Foot Padding and Care, which should be able to help alleviate the pain associated with blistering. www.icewarehouse.com/Foot_Padding__Care/catpage-HSPAD.html Brandon at IW Hockey
